This Tesla Model 3 owner simply refused to get a home charger, but after one year, his costs were remarkably low.
Supercharging a Tesla means that the car can reach a high charge in a very small amount of time, but this can sometimes come with a high cost attached.
So, one man shared his experience of charger hopping, and suffice to say, it was shocking.
In fact, you won’t believe just how much he was billed.

Teslas are the king of the EV world, but aside from costing quite a bit to buy, they require additional costs to keep them ticking over.
But unlike traditional cars, gas isn’t an issue – the car’s main cost is charging, which can be done in a variety of ways, from plugs in at home to public car park chargers.
But, these costs can rocket up quickly, both to both buy and install, which is why many people opt to use public chargers instead.
One YouTuber revealed just how much it costs when a Tesla owner doesn’t purchase a home charger – and it was rather a surprise

“I still think it’s definitely doable,” YouTuber Mark Brown said as he discussed the true cost of owning a Tesla Model 3.
In fact, the costs were remarkably low, with the motorist only being billed $214.92 [£156.50] thanks to the use of free charging at the gym, supermarket charging, and even free superchargers.

How does supercharging work?
Tesla has its own super-fast charging network called The Supercharger Network, and its aim is to ‘enable freedom of travel for Tesla owners at a fraction of the cost of conventional fuel. Reduce your cost per mile and never pay for petrol again’.
The network is so vast – in California, a map recently surfaced from the EV giant that showed how the chargers are slowly but surely taking over.
So, if you fancy owning a Model 3 but don’t quite want to splash out on a home charger, it seems it is totally doable.
