Tesla’s Hollywood diner is one of the company’s more unusual ventures, and amplifying that is how recycled Tesla Cybertruck EV material was used in its construction.

The diner opened in the summer of 2025, harking back to the glory days of the good old American diner, with a modern twist to bring it up to date.

Fans and enthusiasts of the company and its EVs have speculated for months as to what the company built the new diner out of.

Now we have an answer, as recycled Tesla Cybertruck parts have played a big role in its creation.

The Tesla Cybertruck is an unlikely building material

Speculation about the construction of the diner ran riot ever since the company announced its construction.

It is located at 7001 Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles.

The company describes it as a ’24/7 retro-futuristic hub,’ blending nostalgia with modern technology.

It is also useful if you own one of the EVs, with 80 V4 Supercharging stations at the location.

The company’s North American account shared on X that they built the diner out of recycled Cybertruck material.

This was taken directly from the production line.

The company said they used the Cybertruck’s ‘Hard Freaking Stainless’ alloy for the exterior cladding and siding, which is a clever way to repurpose material that’s no longer needed.

Famous YouTuber JerryRigEverything speculated as to how Tesla was able to do this.

“You had so much steel left over from canceled reservations that you could build a literal building? Cool,” he said on X.

Why should you visit Tesla’s Hollywood diner?

Just seeing the diner is worth the visit alone.

It’s a seriously impressive-looking building, and it’s clear that 1950s nostalgia played a part in its design.

The diner also functions as a drive-in movie theater, now with two massive 66-foot LED screens, it’s basically the modern equivalent of classic drive-in theaters such as Shankweiler’s in Pennsylvania.

You can watch the movies either from your EV or from the rooftop ‘Skypad’ patio.

Amazingly, the film’s audio can even sync with the car’s sound system while you charge up the car or truck.

Merchandise is also available to purchase, while there are over 250 seats for dining inside.

Burgers and fries are naturally available for those who visit.

As it’s along the historic Route 66, a visit to Tesla’s Hollywood diner is even more attractive.
