This Texas startup has cracked the code to reducing aviation fuel consumption, as Otto Aerospace has created a windowless private jet called Phantom 3500, which burns 60 percent less gas than your average plane.
Private jets are on the front foot in terms of making aviation more eco-friendly.
But in a bid to combine a guilt-free flight and extreme comfort, Otto Aerospace has created a windowless private jet.
As smooth as silk, the Phantom 3500 glides through the air, producing under half of the emissions of a normal plane, all while being incredibly cool inside.

Otto Aerospace’s new windowless private jet is the future of eco-friendly flying
There’s no denying that planes drink fuel like it’s going out of fashion.
The future Air Force One jet, a Boeing 747-8, consumes $600 worth of gas just to leave the ground, never mind when taking POTUS from Washington to London.
The private jet sector comes under a lot of scrutiny for its carbon footprint, just as Taylor Swift found out in 2024.
Therefore, companies have been hard at work reducing the emissions created by jets.
Now, Otto Aerospace is here with the Phantom 3500 and promises of 60 percent less fuel consumption, compared to competitors.
And the windowless private jet design is core to it, as Otto CEO Paul Touw claims that the smooth exterior makes a massive improvement in ‘laminar flow aerodynamics’.

Priced at the small matter of $19.5 million, the Phantom 3500 delivers between 3,200 and 3,500 nautical miles of range and can hit 590mph cruise speeds.
Already, one major company has placed an order of 300 units, hopeful that people will be sold by the panoramic display, instead of a pigeon-hole window slit.
I’m [not] claustrophobic, Darren
A windowless private jet, for all of its eco-friendly advantages, doesn’t scream luxury at face value. It almost sounds claustrophobic, penning you in from the outside world with nothing to look at apart from a velvet ceiling.
However, the Phantom 3500 has an innovative way of changing this outlook, as instead of windows, it has screens that envelop the cabin and can display anything you’d like.
The screens can even give a live feed of what is going on outside by activating exterior cameras, which makes it seem as if there is a 360-degree window. You can even throw on TV channels as a floating application in the sky.
But, when it’s time to catch a snooze, they can be changed to the Northern Lights or turned off completely.

So, there you have it. Eco-friendly, futuristic, cozy, and very cool… if you have a couple of ten-million-dollar racks spare.
