This Los Angeles man traveled halfway around the world and spotted an ultra-exclusive billionaire Bugatti rally in Portugal.

Bugatti cars are a rare sight in America, given that the limited production supercars are quickly snapped up by Europe’s elite.

But one man hasn’t allowed a simple couple of thousand miles stop him from witnessing arguably the best Bugatti meet on the planet.

YouTube personality effspot took to the platform after vlogging a trip to Porto, where endless streams of rare Bugatti cars met at a rally.

After the work it takes to be able to comfortably afford a supercar, it comes as no surprise that the owners want to show off.

Hence, car meets and rallies – and they’re more common than you might think.

Whether it’s brand-only clubs like this exclusive Pizza Pasta Porsche group, or by genre like the underground gatherings in Japan, there are secret gas-fuelled societies all over the globe.

This time, Los Angeles YouTube personality effspot caught wind of a Bugatti rally in Europe and lost no time in getting front-row seats.

Lining the streets of Duro Valley, Porto, in Portugal, the Bugatti models came thick and fast.

With Mistral, Centodieci, Divo, Chirons, and Veyrons all on display, the supercars crawled single-file through the small streets of the old-world village.

Known for its wine production and beautiful countryside, Duro Valley proved a great location to snap the cars as they headed to a chapel.

When parked up, the Bugatti rally attracted a sizeable crowd of photographers and even a choir, whose voices added a haunting yet harmonious backdrop to the sound of V8 engines ripping.

Two showstoppers included one Chiron Super Sport 300+ edition and a ‘Decepticon’ Chiron, themed after the Transformers antagonists with a two-toned blue wrap on the hood.

The Bugatti rally even hit the roads and started overtaking the Los Angeles man in his rental Mercedes.

Bugatti owners often meet up in Europe, as the annual collection that happens in Saint Moritz, Switzerland, proves.

There, classic models from the ’20s, like the Type 1 Prinetti Stucchi, and generations of other designs all the way up to the most recent Chirons, get together and parade through the beautiful mountains.

For effspot, it certainly was a change of pace from Beverley Hills, but the Los Angeles man was left dumbfounded at the supercar offerings in Europe’s vintage towns.
