This Utah man wanted to figure out why so many people hated the Tesla Cybertruck, so he conducted a series of tests comparing it to diesel trucks.
YouTuber HeavyDSparks loved his Cybertruck, but he knew that it wasn’t universally loved.
He decided to put it to the test by pitting it against a Ram 5500.
Which truck would come out on top?

The Tesla Cybertruck is a contentious vehicle
It’s fair to say that Cybertrucks elicit a strong response – as WWE star Seth Rollins found out for himself.
And he’s not the only one.

For one US man, he listed aesthetics as one of the 10 regrets he had about owning the EV, as it’d led to someone throwing a brick at his vehicle.
Then there was this bizarre case where someone yelled, ‘Get something American-made’ at a Cybertruck driver.
With all the back-and-forth on the merits and shortcomings of the Cybertruck, there’s a lot to take into account.
So that’s why YouTuber HeavyDSparks decided to compare the Tesla vehicle to a Ram 5500 in a towing challenge.

Perhaps this could shed some light on the truck’s worth.
Then again, this is the internet, so no debate is ever truly settled, is it?
Which truck came out on top in this towing challenge?
Here was the set-up for the test – both trucks would tow near identical trailers in different settings.
On a steep hill climb, it was a total slam dunk for the Cybertruck.
That climb alone used up 30 percent of the battery, which indicated a limited range in towing conditions.

Over a 63-mile test, this issue reared its head in full, as the battery dropped from 100 percent to 25 percent.
In conclusion, it was determined that the Cybertruck demonstrated some impressive pulling power but was hindered by its range under heavy loads.
At any rate, this probably isn’t the biggest factor in generating any sort of hate towards the Cybertruck.
Let’s just say there are other issues that concern potential owners, and they’ve played out on the international stage for the past few years now.
