There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned drag race, and this one between a beautiful Mopar and a Tesla is truly electrifying – but will muscle beat the EV?
The race is one of the best examples of classic American muscle versus modern American innovation.
The races not only included the Mopar and Tesla standoff but also a Mustang, Dodge Challenger and Chevy Camaro up against the new electric kid on the block.
How does the EV stand up against all-American classic good ol’ fashioned muscle?

The race is anything but a drag
A night at the Strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is probably one of the most exciting ways you can spend your time and this drag race was no exception.
This videographer at Wheels was kind enough to show us a series of fantastic races between old favorites and new cars.
The first in the races was between a gorgeous black and orange S550 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and a sleek black Tesla.
Turns out the Mustang is not just a pretty face and cleared the Tesla with a 0.5-second lead.
There is fantastic representation from those with an internal combustion engine, with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat putting up quite a fight against the black Tesla and a Stingray wipes the floor with it.
The white Mopar and white Tesla
When a red Chevy Camaro stands off against a white Tesla, the EV fights back to level the playing field and absolutely destroys it.
A new bombshell enters the villa in the form of an electric SUV which completely destroyed the Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
In the flagship stand-off between the white Mopar and Tesla, the electric car leveled the playing field for EVs after a poor start.
It was so incredibly neck-and-neck so it really could’ve gone either way.
It seems like despite being the new kid on the block, the electric brand is becoming a serious contender on the drag race scene, we can’t wait!
