Imagine arriving at school to find a Corvette Z06 waiting for you.
That’s exactly what happened to students at Brookdale Community College in New Jersey.
Valued at $150,000, it’s certainly the most expensive piece of equipment in the school.
No, this won’t form part of the school’s transport system, but will instead serve a very special purpose.

The power of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Chevrolet’s latest supercar offering has a 0-60MPH time of just 2.6 seconds and a quarter-mile time of just over 10 seconds.
It has a 5.5-liter engine that generates a more-than-decent 670HP.
The Z06 dominates on the track, leaving a Maserati MC20 Cielo in the dust in a recent drag race.
It’s a true race car with one of the most powerful V8 engines Chevrolet has ever produced, and a roar that will blow your ears off.
They spent two years perfecting the naturally aspirated V8 engine, which gets the whole car vibrating with its reverberation.
It’s clear the Corvette Z06 is worthy of any celebrity’s supercar collection.
How, then, did one find itself in a community college in New Jersey?
A supercar in the classroom

While a high-performance car is certainly an unusual gift, it’s not totally unheard of.
Shakira recently gifted one of her fans a Lamborghini Urus, and Beyoncé famously gave Jay-Z a $1.6 million Bugatti for his birthday.
And Supercar Blondie’s own Alex Hirschi got a Ferrari full of red roses for Valentine’s Day.
General Motors was feeling extra generous when it donated a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to the students of Brookdale Community College.
The College is participating in GM’s Automotive Service Educational Program, where students will leave ready to work as technicians at GM dealerships.
With the Z06 in the classroom, students will have unprecedented access to complex and cutting-edge technology.
“This Corvette is an engineering marvel,” Ivan Anderson, professor of automotive technology at the college, said.
“It gives our students the rare opportunity to work with the most sophisticated systems in the automotive industry.”
We can only imagine absenteeism has gone down since the supercar’s arrival.
