A group of friends with zero mechanical experience between them have attempted to revive a classic 1970s Land Rover.
While most folks would either head straight to a mechanic or even try to sell the vintage vehicle, Carl Rogers decided to try fixing it himself.
With no real mechanical experience, but plenty of enthusiasm, he and his friends set about tackling the broken-down Land Rover.
So, how did it all turn out?

The 1970s Land Rover ‘stopped working’ and needed a new clutch
The original Land Rover launched back in 1948 and actually has quite an interesting story behind it.
These days, classic Land Rovers are a desirable option for car enthusiasts – so when Carl Rogers – from the carlrogers YouTube channel – ended up with one that ‘stopped working’, he decided to try and fix it up.

After discovering that the Land Rover needed a new clutch they set about dismantling the classic vehicle to get to it.
“This is not a how to guide, rather a few amateurs fumbling their way through a repair,” Carl said.
But that seems to be doing the pals a bit of an injustice as they really got stuck in and were determined to tackle the problem head-on.
Would they get the vehicle up and running again?
In a video shared to YouTube, Carl firstly removed the hard top and seat box before he was able to disengage and remove the gearbox.
He then managed to fix the problem and get the Land Rover back up and running again.
With the mechanical issue taken care of, the friends decided to use the time off the road to install a new soft top on the vehicle ‘in time for summer’.
To test out their handiwork, after fixing the mechanical issue and fitting a new soft top, the pals were able to drive the Land Rover for around 20 hours and even took it on a ferry over to France.
Not bad for a ‘few amateurs fumbling their way through’, right?
