A 1974 Chevrolet Corvette recently surfaced on eBay, leading people to ask how a car that has sat in a barn could look so impeccably preserved.

Barn finds aren’t anything new, but this car had scratching their heads and asking whether it must be too good to be true.

Located in Lewiston, New York, this 50-year-old Corvette looks frozen in time.

At the time of writing, the car is still on eBay and creating something of a bidding frenzy before it ends in a few days.

1974 Chevrolet Corvette for sale on eBay

Anyone into classic cars truly knows the true value of a 1974 Corvette.

1974 models were the last to feature a big-block engine and dual exhaust, making them rare, and also one of the most popular models.

The car featured on the listing is open for bidding with no reserve price, meaning that the highest bidder will take it home.

As of right now – November 27, 2024 – 16 bids have been placed, and the price stands at $4,050.

With a few more days left for the bidding to close, bids can reasonably be expected to rise further.

After all, who wouldn’t want a rare 1974 Corvette in such a too-good-to-be-true condition?

In a similar kind of ad, a 1977 Corvette with low mileage was posted on Craigslist, drawing attention from collectors.

The car has some minor issues

But let’s get back to this classic car on eBay.

It currently has 42,000 miles on the odometer, though the seller mentioned that the actual mileage might be closer to 142,000.

This makes the listing even more surprising.

With so many miles on the meter, the car’s condition seems truly unbelievable.

All that said, there were still a few issues with Corvette that needed to be addressed, specifically the headlights, which were not functioning.

The race to win this classic Corvette is on, and the highest bidder will take the piece of automotive history home.
