The 2027 Hyundai Tucson SUV is getting a brand new redesign that will make it look like another model in the company’s range.

Hyundai is set to launch a new Tucson that looks a lot like a bigger version of the Kona, which itself is one of the best designs within the range as a whole.

Never afraid to go bold with its designs, the new Tucson will look hyper-modern and feel it too, with a myriad of features and a few other things that help it stand out.

As Hyundai’s best-selling vehicle, it was perhaps the right time for the Tucson to have a refresh.

The 2027 Hyundai Tucson could be a real looker

The early signs are that the new Tucson SUV is going to be a real looker.

Like the Kona, it is going to bring in a low, wide grille design, something the Kona had a few years ago.

A leaf will be taken out of the Ioniq 5’s book, too.

The new car is set to be boxier in its design.

Lower headlights and a split design element at the front will be two more of its staple features.

The interiors of its cars are so well-received.

As such, Hyundai is unlikely to do any major work on them for the new Tucson.

Perhaps the bigger question, though, is what will power the new Hyundai?

Hybrid power is likely to play a bigger role

The use of hybrid power is likely to play a larger role in the new model range.

Currently, the Tucson SUV offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid models in its lineup, as well as a combustion engine.

Potentially, Hyundai may even decide to go full-electric, as it continues to electrify its range.

Rumors abound that in Europe, a diesel version will no longer be in the offering with the next generation.

For now, the South Korean car manufacturer is keeping its cards very close to its chest.

In terms of cost, the current retail price for the Tucson is $28,705.

That is for the base model with the 187hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

Expect full details to be released by the Japanese maker at some point in 2026.
