This 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air has spent more than 30 years inside a pole barn, but has now been rescued and is looking for a new owner.
Chevrolet introduced the Bel Air for the model year 1950.
The car had seven generations before production ended for good in 1980.
Now, a 1965 example that has spent 33 years parked is up for sale.

The 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air has been rescued after more than 30 years
With a production run that spanned from the 1950s to the 1980s, there are plenty of Chevrolet Bel Airs out there, including some weird and wonderful examples like this 1957 model dubbed the Hellair and this rare limousine Bel Air that popped up on Facebook Marketplace.
Over in Alabama, this 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air is a more typical example but it does have quite an interesting history.

The Bel Air was bought by eBay user bama_vintage last year, who claims that the vintage vehicle had been parked since 1991.
The car had been left to gather dust in a pole barn, but it is in surprisingly solid condition with only some minor surface rusting.
Inside is a similar story with the interiors all in good shape, despite the car’s age and the fact it’s been off the road for some long.
The original engine has been replaced by its current owner, and it now has a 200-horsepower V8 sourced from a Camaro.
The seller says it has just 48,000 original miles on the clock and, aside from the newly installed engine, the car is pretty much all-original; it even has its original paintwork under the ‘cheap respray’ currently covering the exterior.
The seller had planned on restoring the Bel Air himself, but has since decided to put it up for sale on eBay, where, at the time of writing, it had attracted $6,000 in bids.

The car could make a cool restoration project for the right person, and it’d be great to see the old classic given a new lease of life.
A trip across the US to save a rare 1957 Chevy Bel Air
While the fate of this 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air is still up in the… erm… air, last year a team of restorationists flew across the United States to rescue a rare 1957 model.
The barn find Bel Air had been abandoned for years, but car enthusiast and YouTuber Robby Layton saw potential.
So he and his team flew from Salt Lake City to Detroit and then from Detroit to Ohio to rescue this classic Chevy and make sure it was given the restoration it deserved.
Lovely stuff. Here’s hoping the same happens for the 1965 example up for sale in Alabama.
