The Ford Ranger is naturally a wild animal – the king of a very diesel-filled jungle – but this carnivorous 6×6 beast in North Carolina is less of a saber-tooth tiger and more of a bobcat.
We’ve seen some wacky mashup cars over the years – the Pimp My Ride projects gone too far.
But this might be one of the zaniest builds yet.
Somewhere under this 6×6 truck is a 1994 Ford Ranger going through some mid-life alternate choices.

This Ford Ranger is now a 6×6 truck with an attitude
To be fair, some of the bizarre cars that we’ve come across are truly outlandish,
A Cadillac RV built by a Boeing plane engineer? Absurd.
An upside-down but right-way-up Camaro commissioned by a police officer? Eccentrically undercover.
In this case, Cameron Swaim of North Carolina has transformed his 1994 Ford Ranger into a 6×6 truck with a loony paint job, although its oddities might just be a commodity.

Highlighted on Facebook Marketplace, currently listed at $8,000, the 96k-mile Mystery-Machine-looking creation is as mad as a box of frogs, inside and out.
With pink flames licking up the front hood, a bright combover filters down the right-hand side adding purple and white flicks to the blue body.
Towards the rear, the Sour Patch Kids appear to have taken over with a lime green blanket that makes your tongue swell at its acid appearance.
Inside is no different, as the paint job continues to confuse and impose; it even continues under the hood.
“Truck runs and drives good just like any other Ranger,” the North Carolina man said.
“[It has a] 4.0 V6 with manual transmission the bed and [the] frame was extended to add another ranger axle to make it a 6-wheeler. Interior could use some work, it has Mustang seats and 4 8” Skar audio subs.”
“I drive the truck just about every day with no issues.”

Still, there’s a lid for every pan, right?
It’s likely that this Ford Ranger won’t be restored to its original status, but it would make a huge statement if you were to pull up in its front seat.
As for other 6×6 rebuilds, well, this Ford Ranger has some competition in the Mad Hatter’s pen from this Chevy Pickup Transformer.
“You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret, all the best [cars] are” – Alice in Wonderland.
