Images of Ferrari’s highly anticipated SUV have leaked on social media.

Ferrari is due to begin production of the SUV, named the Purosangue, later this year.

Two leaked photos, albeit a bit grainy, show the SUV from the front and back – allowing us all a good sneak peek of the Purosangue.

Starting at the front, it borrows heavily from its Roma stablemate, especially around the recessed headlights.

But it’s around the back that things get exciting.

If you’re a fan of Ferrari’s shooting brake GTC4 Lusso, then this rump will look familiar.

The growing trend of a bum-spanning lightbar is present, blending into the double pod taillights.

When it comes to the engine, that’s still speculation, although sensible money would be on a turbo-charged V6 or V8, likely with a hybrid system borrowed from the SF 90 or the 269 GTB.

Inside you can expect seating for 4 or even 5 with the usual high quality finish you’d expect from Maranello’s best.

If you enjoy putting your foot down, performance is going to be an estimated 0-60 in 4 seconds and a top speed somewhere in the region of 185mph.

From what we can tell, it’s all looking very exciting.

Let’s hope when Ferrari releases its official images, the Purosangue lives up to the hype.

But for now, the jury’s still out…
