This man was left shocked when he found that a Honda Prelude was sitting abandoned, three years after he first saw it in Alberta.

It was a sad sight to see – a car gathering more and more dust, without respite in sight.

Instagram user skipdasher is a self-described car spotter, and he’s bound to have seen some cars that aren’t in great shape.

But it’s quite remarkable to see a car sitting in the exact same spot three years after he first saw it.

What sort of condition was this Honda Prelude in?

It would seem that this Prelude, sitting in a parking lot, had become something of a local attraction.

Tons of people had taken to writing on its dusty windows – and they were spoilt for choice with how thick it’d gathered.

On the front window, leaflets had been placed under the windshield wipers – still there from the first time skipdasher saw this car back in 2023.

It was a sad sight all around, and skipdasher speculated that it might cost more to get this car back on the road than it would be to purchase a whole new one.

Granted, a new Honda Prelude would set you back $50,000, so it’s likely not that expensive.

But still, it’d be nice to see someone give this Prelude a new lease of life and get it back on the road where it belongs.

Perhaps it can be done before every inch of dust on this car has been written on?

It’s always nice to see dusty cars getting spruced up

We’ve seen a lot of abandoned cars over the years, but the dust on them provides an extra level of mystique.

It makes you wonder how these vehicles have been sitting there for.

That’s certainly a question we were asking when we saw these tunnels filled with abandoned cars.

For some cars, getting the dust off is part of their big reveal after coming out of hibernation – like this Midwest Ford or this muscle car found on an Australian farm.

And it’s all the better when a dusty car gets its long-overdue cleaning, as this NYC garage proved with Land Rover Defenders.
