As an Airbus A380 gracefully prepares to touch down, this slow-motion look shows just how the landing gear absorbs nearly 370 tonnes of prime aviation engineering.

As the largest passenger jet in the world, the Airbus A380 takes a lot of skill to handle on the runway.

While many pilots have showcased their expertise at the helm of these sky-bound giants in treacherous conditions, the plane itself actually does a lot of the legwork when landing on ordinary flights.

The slow-motion video above highlights how well-made they are, as the landing gear dances along the tarmac as if it were pirouetting down the Winter Gardens theatre with a 370-tonne backpack on.
