Aviation giant Airbus celebrated its 50th anniversary six years ago, and it did so by flying some of its most iconic aircraft in formation.
Airbus was founded in 1970, and since then has become one of the most successful aircraft companies in history.
It took on the likes of Boeing and McDonnell Douglas and showed the American market that they would not have it all their own way.
In 2019, the company flew several of its aircraft together in formation to showcase its rich history and everything it has achieved.

The flight consisted of iconic Airbus models
The Iconic aircraft Airbus used in the flight were the A220, A320, A330, A350 XWB, and the A380.
Airbus also added a BelugaXL airlifter to the lineup, probably the most distinctive of all the aircraft.
The company’s YouTube video showed the crews going through a pre-flight briefing before boarding the aircraft.
We then see each one taxi out ready for take-off.

It is certainly an impressive sight seeing this many Airbus aircraft together.
Along with the Beluga, the A380 is also distinctive, and it is, of course, the largest passenger aircraft in the world.
Each aircraft made an impressive take-off, and there were a few hard banking turns as the jets lined up in the sky.
The company recently celebrated a milestone
Airbus is still making history in 2025.
The A320 recently became the most delivered airliner in history, surpassing the Boeing 737.
The company began production of airliners in 1972, with the first being the A300.
This was also the world’s first wide-body twinjet aircraft.
Sales were initially slow, and the Airbus program was nearly cancelled as a result.
However, a new rule dictating how far away twinjet aircraft could operate from the nearest airport changed that.
Sales picked up, and soon the company developed the A310.
A new A300 variant was introduced a few years later, and the company’s lineup would continue to expand.
Taking on the giants of American commercial aviation was a massive challenge for the European company.
But as we can see today, Airbus is now one of the most successful aircraft manufacturers in the world.
