This airplane pilot recently did something straight out of a movie and landed on an Alaska highway.
Yes, you did just read that right – a pilot emergency landed right in the middle of a highway.
The pilot ran into extreme trouble and was forced into an emergency landing.
But then, he decided to take off from the Alaska highway instead of waiting for help.

Airplane interrupts commuters by landing on Alaska highway
Ladies and gentlemen, we cover a lot of unorthodox and unconventional stories here.
But this story might just be one of the craziest that we have ever seen before.
The story in question comes to us from Girdwood, just south of Anchorage, Alaska.
And the story concerns one of the most incredible landings you might ever see.
Last week, commuters on the Seward Highway were simply going about their business.
But little did they know that the mother of all shocks was about to come their way.
Near Mile 93 on the Alaska highway, a small airplane safely landed in the central reservation.

The plane, a Rans S-21 Outbound, was carrying two people onboard at the time.
This particular aircraft is optimised for short take-offs and landings.
Fire Chief Michelle Weston said crews were called to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
“The aircraft had landed, had an issue, and had landed on the highway and without injuries to (those aboard), and had taxied off onto the side of the highway,” Weston said.
“We’re just thankful that when the aircraft came down, the cars all saw it,” she said. “It’s on a straight stretch, and they were able to pull over and let the pilot land.”
Aircraft manages to take off from same highway!
But what is even more incredible is that the plane was able to take off from the Alaska highway after landing.
The scarcely believable footage shows the plane taxiing from the side of the highway.
After landing, the pilot was working hard to repair the plane before taking off again.
Roughly two hours later, at 10:30 am, the plane came to life.
It then begins to accelerate, before lifting off into the air once again.
This has to be one of the craziest airplane-related stories we have ever seen.
