An American discovered an incredible storage lot containing a vast number of Nissan Skyline GT-R sports cars while on a trip to Japan.

Enthusiast and social media user Randy Schmidtt is a big fan of Japanese cars, being a lover of models such as the Skyline, Toyota MR2, and more.

But he did not expect to see such a vast number of Skylines just sitting there stored, and most remarkably of all, they seemed to be in good condition.

For anyone who is a fan of the Nissan Skyline GT-R, this very much looked like heaven.

Why are the Nissan Skyline GT-R sports cars stored?

Sadly, we don’t get much context as to why the cars are stored in this location.

The video posted by Randy simply says:

“Stumbled upon Skyline heaven.”

A panning shot at the start of the video shows a huge number of the Nissans just sitting stored, but in a neat manner.

We can only speculate as to why the cars are all here.

But it is highly likely they are not abandoned, and are stored for spares, or even potential sale.

A close-up shot shows a few of the sports cars, and they all look to be in very good condition.

The footage was shot in 2023, so we wonder how many are still there two years later!

The Skyline was a legendary sports car

When it comes to legendary cars, few have as high a status as the Nissan Skyline range.

The first Skyline appeared in 1969, but the first of the line we all know and love came in 1989.

This was the R32, powered by the legendary twin-turbocharged RB26 inline-six engine.

The car was all-wheel drive, and it remained in production until 1994.

The R33 generation then followed from 1995 to 1998, with the R34 appearing from 1999 to 2002.

Arguably, the R34 is the definitive generation of the Skyline.

Special versions such as the GT-R Nismo Z-tune were also built.

All are now highly sought-after collector’s cars, and the value of them keeps going up and up.

We can only imagine how much the cars in the storage lot would be worth!
