The American rapper who starred on Pimp My Ride has revealed his biggest regret with the show years after it ended.
Xzibit was the host of the iconic show, which ran on MTV from 2004 to 2007.
Although the show is still fondly remembered, the rapper isn’t quite as enthusiastic.
In fact, he has a major regret about his part on the show.

This American rapper opens up about his Pimp My Ride regrets
This isn’t the first time that Xzibit has sounded off about his time as the show’s host.
His previous complaints include that it took him away from his music career and that it prompted people to talk to him about cars.
“Soccer moms coming up to me telling me about their husband and their car that they had since the ’60s,” Xzibit recalled.

“I was like ‘Stop talking to me about this, I know as much as you do’.”
But that wasn’t his only gripe – it turns out that his pay packet wasn’t to his liking.
Speaking on The Art Of Dialogue podcast, he offloaded about his time on the show.
When asked if he wasn’t happy with his earnings, he started off his answer diplomatically.
“I’ve been back and forth about that,” he said.
“At the end of the day, it was not about the exposure I was getting.

“I didn’t realize the global exposure I was getting and what that led to.
“But if I do some work, I wanna get paid.
“At the time, it was me looking past the opportunity and reflecting on what I should be getting.
“It was an expensive learning curve.
“At that particular time, I wasn’t happy with the pay, but I moved past it.”
More people are speaking about their time on the MTV show
It’s not just the American rapper who has spoken out about his duration on the show.
Several participants who had their cars pimped have come forward over the years.
Justin Dearinger from season six of Pimp My Ride, for example, had his 1997 Toyota RAV4 pimped by MTV.
After filming ended, the team actually removed some of the coolest parts of his car, like the ‘pop-up champagne’, because they were unsafe or illegal.
This was not a one-off, as several guests on the show shared very similar stories.

And that’s not forgetting the cars that have popped up over the years.
One appeared on Tavarish’s YouTube channel, where he was giving it its second makeover in 20 years.
Let’s just say, the pink and purple exterior is far easier on the eyes than what was lying inside.
