An American YouTuber showed how he changed the oil on a V8 Tesla, which could be very helpful to know.

He shared the skill online to help other car owners who would find themselves in a similar situation.

But some gearheads ended up confused.

And it was all down to the unsuspecting V8 Tesla.

Tesla is known to have a wide range of vehicles.

From the Roadster that soared into space, to the ever-talked-about Cybertruck, and even the Model 3, there are lots for EV fans to choose from.

Some owners like to put the EVs through their paces too, and really get their money’s worth.

Like this owner, for example, who put their Tesla’s FSD to the test in the jungle.

Plus, another clever Chinese owner hacked a Model Y so it was able to run on gas.

One YouTuber, though, took it one step further.

You see, he engine swapped a Tesla, and added a powerful V8 engine.

So, being the helpful type, he decided to explain how to change the oil on a V8 Tesla.

“Learn how to change the oil in a Tesla.

“I know this video will come in very handy for many people, so I decided I should teach you the process of how to change the oil in your EV,” @chrisfixit quipped.

In the video, he explained how the change was completed step by step, including draining and taking an oil sample, and checking the electron flow.

“You’re going to need a multi-meter to test the oil. We’re going to set it to the continuity test down here. Now, good EV oil that’s not worn-out has electrons flowing in here, and that’s how you get extended range.”

He then proceeded to show that beeping should occur in good oil.

His video, however, confused a few people online.

“Wait, one minute, aren’t Teslas electric cars, so why is he changing the oil, correct me if I’m wrong,” said a confused social media user.

“Huh, I didn’t think Teslas had oi……… oh well this is interesting,” quipped another.

“April fools are already over a long time ago,” joked one other

People online were confused by the engine, with many not taking into consideration that it had been swapped.
