Apocalypse Speedster Cheetah is a go-anywhere beast with a supercharged V8

This is the Apocalypse Speedster Cheetah, a custom off-roader powered by a supercharged Hellcat V8.

And you can tell it uses the Hellcat V8 due to the unmistakable and wonderful hiss coming from the supercharger in the video above.

Even though this is obviously an all-terrain vehicle, it’s also designed to be a great cruiser on the road.

It’s not cheap, but by today’s standards, it’s not that expensive either.

The idea behind the Apocalypse Speedster Cheetah

Apocalypse Manufacturing is a Florida-based independent brand that specializes in extreme off-roaders, usually with six wheels.

This is why if you look at the company’s lineup, the Apocalypse Speedster Cheetah turns out to be one of the smallest and least conspicuous vehicles they make, which says a lot considering the rest of the lineup.

The idea was to create a vehicle that could withstand just about anything you could throw at it off road, but would also be a competent and comfortable cruiser when you’re on suburban roads.

The Cheetah comes with massive 38-inch tires and custom suspension fitted to a chassis that the company built pretty much from scratch.

The engine is a Dodge-sourced supercharged Hellcat V8, which puts out 717 horsepower.

That’s a lot in any scenario, but it gets even better once you learn this vehicle only weighs around 2,200 kilograms, which is not that bad for an off-roader.

The price isn’t particularly low, but it is a little less eye-watering than some people might expect.

The Speedster starts at around $130,000-$140,000 depending on how you spec it.

For example there’s one on the company’s website that’s currently available for $139,000.

In today’s market, that’s not surprisingly high for a custom vehicle like this.

This company is more than just a tuner

Like other similar companies, Apocalypse is halfway between a tuning company and a standalone manufacturer.

As a tuner, they created a Ford Bronco with six wheels, and they also turned a Lamborghini Urus into an incredible go-anywhere vehicle.

But having said that, most of their flagship vehicles are custom made.

Aside from the Speedster, they also make a variety of extreme off-roaders with equally OTT names.

Among them are the Hellfire, the Super Truck and the Juggernaut.

We can only imagine what it must feel like to answer the question when people ask you what you drive.

“I drive a Juggernaut”.

Mic drop.
