This super-rare 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix 428 Ragtop could be worth up to $60,000, and it’s currently up for grabs for a lot less.
Pontiac introduced the Grand Prix in 1962 and the nameplate stuck around until 2008.
During its lengthy production run, the Grand Prix was offered as a hardtop, except for in 1967 when a convertible model was launched for a single year.
And one of these rare 1967 Grand Prix convertible has recently been listed for sale on eBay.

The 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix 428 Ragtop has an interesting back story
Pontiac introduced the second generation Grand Prix in 1965, before moving on to a third generation in 1969.
Although not a wildly rare nameplate, it can be hard to get your hands on a second generation Grand Prix, one man spent three decades looking for a 1965 model.

But this 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix 428 Ragtop is even rarer again.
The convertible option was only in production for a year, with just 5,856 produced.
Under the hood, this particular model is hiding a 428 HO V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission, which makes it one of only 1,200.
And its air conditioning, bucket seats, and hood-mounted tachometer make it rarer still.
The car also has an interesting story behind it.
According to the Pontiac’s eBay listing, the Grand Prix convertible was originally ordered new from Merrill Bean Pontiac by a woman who was happy to fork out for the upgraded 428 cubic inch engine, power windows, and AC.
The woman later had second thoughts about the Grand Prix, leaving the car without an owner.
However, it caught the eye of a mechanic who worked at the dealership who snapped it up.
He held onto it for decades, but has sadly since passed away, after which his widow sold it.

When its current owner got his hands on it, the car didn’t run, but he has since managed to bring it back to life, and now it’s looking for a new home.
The car is looking for a new home and could be a real bargain
The listing for the car says it is in ‘really good condition’ thanks to being stored in a garage its whole life.
The Grand Prix is up and running but is in need of ‘some love’ to restore it to its former glory.
A fully restored 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix 428 Ragtop can sell for as much as $60,000.
However, this one is currently listed on eBay with a starting bid of $7,500, meaning if someone was happy to take this project on they could snag themselves a real bargain.
