A remarkable 1984 Chevy Camaro Z/28 muscle car that is basically brand new has recently been unearthed in North Carolina.
Shown off by Hagerty, this incredible 1984 muscle car has done barely over 300 miles, and it’s one of the cleanest examples of a muscle car ever found.
This may be one of the finest Z/28s in America right now, and possibly one of the finest Camaros as well.
This is effectively a brand new car that hasn’t even been run in, and someone could walk away with a real gem of a machine.

How immaculate is this 1984 Chevy Camaro Z/28?
As the images show, this particular Camaro is virtually immaculate with no marks or scratches anywhere.
According to the listing, the car was first delivered to a Chevrolet dealership in Pennsylvania.
It then lived in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and California before it made its way into the current owner’s collection.
The listing also states there is no detailed record of its storage or service history.

But the cleanliness of the car suggests minimal work has been needed.
In fact, a look at the odometer reveals the car has done just 306 miles in its 41 years on this planet.
A testament to that is how every panel, trim piece, and more is perfect.
What is under the hood of this special Camaro?
This muscle car was built at a time when emissions regulations had stifled its power.
Earlier Z/28s such as this one didn’t suffer, but this muscle car still packs a punch.
Some Z/28s of the time had a 5.0-liter V8 making 145hp under the hood.
Luckily, this example has a bit more, with the L69 high-output V8 making 190hp in total.
The downside to that is this car has a four-speed automatic transmission, and not a manual.

While that might be a sticking point for some, it could be easily overlooked thanks to its condition.
Inside looks just as good as outside, with the cream vinyl trim and fabric seats and headrests simply perfect.
There isn’t even a subtle hint of a crease or crack in any of the materials.
The black exterior paint also gives this Camaro a very menacing appearance.
Following the end of the auction, the car sold for $25,948.
