A barely-used BMW M5 CS is about to roll across the auction block.

The 2022 super sedan has just 1,900 miles on the clock – basically delivery mileage.

It’s one of the less than 1,000 ever built, with only around 400 reaching the US.

And now it’s up for sale on Bring a Trailer, ending September 9.

This is the BMW M5 CS everyone’s chasing

If you missed the chance to order one new, here’s your second shot.

A 2022 BMW M5 CS has landed on Bring a Trailer, with the auction closing September 9 at 11:24 AM PST.

This one’s about as fresh as they come.

With just 1,900 miles on the clock and its Frozen Deep Green Metallic paint still wrapped in paint protection film, it looks box-fresh.

Only three paints were ever offered, and this shade was the star of BMW’s press fleet.

Paired with bronze wheels and red calipers, it’s the exact spec BMW used in its press photos.

Of course, the hardware is equally impressive.

Under the hood sits a 4.4-liter twin-turbo S63 V8, turned up to 627 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

With xDrive all-wheel drive, it’ll rip from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds, though testers have clocked it even quicker.

BMW also stripped 150lbs out of the car compared to the standard M5, trimming weight from the seats, exhaust, and even sound insulation.

The result? The fastest M production car ever built.

All M5 CS examples rolled off the line between March 2021 and January 2022.

Production numbers were never officially confirmed, but most agree it’s around 1,000 worldwide, with roughly 400 in the US.

That scarcity means auctions like this don’t happen often – in fact, this is only the fourth M5 CS to hit Bring a Trailer in the past year.

To give you a sense of the market, one with 5,000 miles and light cosmetic damage sold recently for $138,000.

This example, with its low miles and mint condition, should climb well past that.

The M5 story keeps evolving

The CS was the peak of the F90 era – a stripped-back, gas-powered monster.

But BMW hasn’t stood still.

The 2025 BMW M5 ushers in a new era with a hybrid V8 setup good for 717 horsepower, blending electric range with the same daily-usability the badge has always promised.

BMW doubled down with the seventh-generation car, revealed in Munich last year

It’s wider, louder, and now officially electrified, packing 727 horsepower and 737 lb-ft.

The CS may be quicker off the line, but the latest M5 shows how the legend is adapting to survive.

That’s what makes this auction so compelling.

The CS represents the old-school, all-gas pinnacle – likely the last of its kind.

The new models prove the M5 will keep evolving, but this Frozen Green sedan is the one collectors will look back on as the end of an era.

For bidders, this is the unicorn – a four-door BMW that can punch with supercars.
