Aviation fans fooled by a fake one-off 2026 Concorde flight to New York and you can't even blame them

The internet nearly lost its mind over a supposed 2026 Concorde flight, only for it to turn out to be one of the most convincing pranks ever.

At first glance, everything about the flight felt real.

From the check-in at Heathrow to the champagne in the lounge, it had all the hallmarks of a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

For a moment, many genuinely believed Concorde had taken to the skies again.

The Concorde looked very real in the video

The mastermind behind this elaborate prank was YouTuber WorldWide Dom.

In a recent video, he explained that he was boarding the flight as part of a limited revival program.

“I never ever thought I would be saying this, but today we’re on a one-off flight on a refurbished Concorde from here in Heathrow over to New York,” he said.

With the Concorde’s revival seemingly explained, the illusion got even stronger.

Viewers were taken through Heathrow’s Terminal 5, where he enjoyed fast-track security.

He was even invited into an exclusive lounge experience, complete with celebratory champagne.

But how did he get tickets for this seemingly exclusive experience?

Well, Dom got it covered.

He explained that he had a good friend working in the heritage association refurbishing this particular Concorde, so he managed to get a seat.

“I genuinely cannot tell you how happy I am at this one,” he said.

Once onboard, the attention to detail was almost obsessive.

Everything from the cabin to the small windows matched what you would expect from Concorde.

Even the signature roar of the Rolls-Royce Olympus engines was there, followed by a dramatic takeoff and a three-hour sprint across the Atlantic.

Meals were served, including a full English breakfast and a light lunch, adding another layer of authenticity.

Dom narrated the experience with the kind of awe you would expect from someone living out a lifelong dream, making it seem even more real.

He finally revealed the twist at the end of the video

In the final moments, Dom revealed the truth: the entire video had been an elaborate April Fool’s joke.

The supposed 2026 Concorde flight was actually stitched together over six months, using footage from seven different flights.

He even made multiple museum visits to capture authentic Concorde interiors.

He later explained: “I wanted to make the most realistic Concorde experience possible,” noting that he deliberately wore the same outfit throughout to avoid breaking continuity.

The prank ended up being so detailed and well-executed that many viewers did not question it until the very end, if at all.

Some even admitted in the comments that they had fully believed Concorde was back, at least for a few minutes.

“This actually has to be one of the greatest April Fools pranks I’ve ever seen. It had gotten me so good as well too! Great job, and I’d love to see a behind-the-scenes,” said one of his viewers.

With many content creators leveraging quick laughs to develop viral content, Dom stood out with the sheer amount of effort and creativity he placed into his prank.
