An aviation vlogger has given us a closer look at the brand-new Pilatus PC-12 PRO plane – and it’s absolutely crammed with cool features and tech.
Pilatus Aircraft has been making its PC-12 planes since the early 1990s but this week launched the updated PRO version.
The PC-12 PRO features an all-new cockpit, updated and upgraded safety functions, and a new interior.
Now, the PC-12 PRO ‘is the most technologically advanced, best-performing and most reliable aircraft in its class’, according to its creators.

The newly launched Pilatus PC-12 PRO plane has been hailed as ‘the most advanced single’ and it’s not hard to see why.
Aviation vlogger Sam Chui was recently given the chance to hop into the PC-12 PRO for a test flight and was seriously impressed.
He was given a tour of the new cockpit by Test Pilot Patrick who showed him all the neat techy features included in the plane.
The ‘reimagined’ PC-12 PRO has an ‘Advanced Cockpit Environment’ – or ACE, for short – that is powered by the latest Garmin G3000 PRIME Integrated Flight Deck.
The flight deck has been completely customized and includes track-based synthetic vision, cursor control device, and visual customization that enables ‘superior solutions for ease of operation in all flight conditions’.
The whole thing is operated via touchscreens and Patrick insists that it’s ‘very easy to use’ and comes with some very handy preset options.
Once in the air, Sam was shown how the system worked and was blown away by its smart simplicity.
“I just love this simple system… it will reduce my workload so much,” he said.
The PC-12’s cabin has been given a redesign
The PC-12 PRO also has a bunch of new safety features, including an emergency ‘Autoland’ function and a ‘Smart Glide’ function.
The cabin for the PC-12 PRO has been given a complete redesign.
The new cabin ‘combines modern design with exceptional comfort and a timeless ambiance’, according to Pilatus.
This includes fresh new color scheme options and all-new cabinetry to provide storage space inside the plane.
“Cutting-edge interior and exterior designs reflect the essence of modern technology, with sleek patterns and futuristic finishes which give the PC-12 PRO a dynamic, high-tech look,” Pilatus said.
The PC-12 has already obtained certification and Pilatus said first deliveries would kick-off later this year.
