This is the BMW Concept Speedtop, a spectacular shooting brake version of the BMW Skytop unveiled at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025.
This is a ‘sequel’ to the Skytop, which is why it features a similar design at the front, while the rear section has been reimagined to turn it into a shooting brake.
The fact that it still only has two doors makes it even more intriguing.
And there’s actually another bit of good news BMW fans will be happy to hear.
DISCOVER SBX CARS: The global premium car auction platform powered by Supercar Blondie
A few days ago, BMW teased an upcoming concept model just days ahead of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025, a car show that takes place every year on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.
As we suspected, the new BMW Concept Speedtop is indeed a shooting brake variant of the BMW Skytop, and we’re certainly glad they built it.
The BMW Skytop was initially supposed to be a concept car.
It was unveiled at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy last year, but, as confirmed by BMW execs, the fact it was so well received convinced the automaker to turn it into a production supercar with a limited run of 50 units.

Just like the Skytop, the BMW Concept Speedtop is inspired, in part, by the BMW Z8, and it’s powered by the most powerful V8 in BMW’s portfolio.
The Speedtop features a V-shaped nose with slim headlights and a beautiful illuminated kidney grille.
The company describes this as a Touring vehicle, which is what the automaker calls all of its wagon/shooting brake models.

The car is painted using two different types of paint – Floating Sunstone Maroon and Floating Sundown Silver – blended together to produce a gradient effect.
The 14-spoke wheels complete the package.
Inside, it follows the same color scheme.
Speaking of interior, this technically qualifies as a 2+2 vehicle, but, in reality, the two tiny seats at the back are mostly designed to accommodate custom bags manufactured in Italy specifically to match the car.

Production is limited to 70 units.
This, once again, is because BMW listened to customers’ feedback, which is nice.
“Last year, Skytop generated great enthusiasm,” BMW Product VP Bernd Körber explained.
“This is why we decided to also offer Speedtop as a limited-production vehicle ahead of the launch at Villa d’Este 2025.”
