A video showing a Boeing 737 airliner landing in near-zero visibility showcases the pilot’s impeccable skills in the cockpit.

In the footage, we can see the 737 landing at Erfurt Airport in Germany, where thick fog results in virtually no visual reference for the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft.

However, the footage from Pilot’s View on YouTube does show them completing a textbook landing in some of the trickiest conditions.

The video shows us just how skilled some pilots are and what it takes to land an aircraft in the worst possible weather.

The footage was uploaded onto YouTube in November 2024 and has also been shared around on Instagram.

The start of the footage shows a completely black sky as the aircraft descends through clouds and fog.

We can see nothing, save for the reflection of the aircraft’s flashing lights.

As the aircraft gets lower to the ground, the lights of the runway finally emerge into view.

Despite the terrible weather, the pilots demonstrated their experience by landing almost perfectly.

The outer lights of the runway pan appear first, followed by the main runway lights themselves.

We can hear the aircraft’s onboard systems call out the altitude as it approaches the ground.

The landing itself is also as perfect as possible.

There isn’t even a hint of any juddering or bumpiness, with the Boeing 737 touching down with grace.

It is remarkable to see the sheer precision and calmness of the pilots as they and the Boeing airliner.

As the video showed us, the conditions for this crew were awful.

There was no visibility around them, and they could only see the runway lights as it got relatively close to the airliner.

You audibly hear how calm the cockpit is, too.

There is no panic from the crew; instead, they are cool, calm, and collected as they bring the jet down onto the ground.

As the video description states, pilots must get a huge adrenaline rush in situations like this.

We can only sit back and applaud their skill as they bring their aircraft down onto the ground safely.
