Boeing’s latest aircraft, the 777X, took off like a rocket at this airshow

It’s no secret that Boeing is one of the master plane manufacturers on the planet.

From the 747 that everyone knows and loves to other huge aircraft that cruise the skies, the company is used by many airlines across the world.

But Boeing also has a new member joining its fleet, the 777X, and it was recently spotted mastering an impressive takeoff at an airshow.

In footage captured by Dan Thomas @ AirlinerVideos.TV the huge new 777X took off like a rocket at an airshow across the pond in Farnborough, UK.

The plane ascended almost in a straight line before levelling off slightly when it reached a certain height.

Dubbed as the world’s largest and most efficient twin-engine jet, the airplane is set to impress.

“With new breakthroughs in aerodynamics and engines, the 777X will deliver 10 percent lower fuel use and emissions and 10 percent lower operating costs than the competition,” Boeing itself detailed.

But, despite promises of greatness, the aircraft seems to keep being delayed.

The 777X family has been subject to a list of delays, but the good news is, is that the planes could be well into their service by the end of the decade.

According to Simple Flying, the planes were due to enter ‘commercial service’ way back in 2020, but the time frame looks more like next year after the delays.

The 777X family will be made up of two planes – the 777-8 and the 777-9.

Boeing has other impressive aircraft, too, not just the 777X

Alongside the 777X, the aviation manufacturer has other impressive planes that are in full operation, too.

For example, there’s even a $150M Boeing business jet that comes complete with an incredible games room and dining room

Plus, one man took his love of planes to the next level when he bought an entire Boeing 737 from a salvage yard just to live in it.

You can catch the impressive rocket-like takeoff above, thanks to Airliner Videos.
