Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac has congratulated Koenigsegg on achieving the world record as their hypercar rivalry enters the next round in an exciting turn of events.
Both Bugatti and Koenigsegg are dominating forces in the hypercar world, with both manufacturers racing to achieve titles and world records before the other in order to be crowned the winner.
Now, though, Koenigsegg has one-upped Bugatti by claiming a new fastest acceleration world record with the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.
But, Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac simply killed Christian von Koenigsegg with kindness as their rivalry enters a new era of competition and insisted that his marque will be back.

Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac left Koenigsegg a message as rivalry hots up
Bugatti and Koenigsegg are two of the biggest hypercar brands in the world, so it’s no secret that there is a big rivalry between the car giants.
In fact, Koenigsegg recently beat Bugatti to achieve the world record with the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, holding the new 0-400-0 km/h world record.
The hypercar managed to beat its competitor by cruising to 400km/h in just 25.21 seconds, beating the Rimac Nevera R.
So, instead of adding fuel to the fire, Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac left his ultimate rival a heartfelt message.

“I’m not sad about it, quite the contrary, I’m all about pushing the limits, pushing technology, and I love this healthy rivalry between Koenigsegg and us,” stated Mate.
He went on to explain that this is what pushed things forward and even offered his happiness to Christian and his team on their great success of the new 400km/h record.
“Congratulations, Christian, congratulations, Koenigsegg, hats off,” he remarked before explaining the history of the record between the two companies.
He explained that in September 2019, the Regera set the record, followed by the Nevera in May 2023.
Ever since, there has been a battle between Christian and Mate as to who will come out on top, with Rimac’s rival able to claim victory once more.

He also detailed how he thought his ‘rocket ship’ would maintain the record, but he was proved wrong as the Jesko came along and smashed it instead, in a seriously impressive amount of time.
But, after the world record defeat, Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac says that the company won’t stand still.
Instead, it’s all systems go and time to get to work to get back on top.
“Game on,” he concluded as he rounded off his message to Christian and the rest of the hypercar team.
It’s Bugatti versus Koenigsegg, but which will be the ultimate winner?
After Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac shared the words of wisdom online, many gearheads couldn’t help but comment too.
In fact, Christian von Koenigsegg himself even responded to Mate’s message and proved that the healthy rivalry is really only just getting started.
“Great Sport Mate. Thank you, and yes – Game On!” commented the hypercar CEO.
But of course, this rivalry is nothing new.
In fact, the CEO recently managed to break every acceleration record there is to break with the Rimac Nevera R.
Plus, we can’t forget the time that he showed off how good his personal $4M Chiron Super Sport was while completing the grocery run.
