Growing up, nearly every kid had that car they dreamt about.
More often than not, that supercar was on a poster tacked to the wall above their bed.
In the 80s, the Lamborghini Countach was the poster of choice.
A decade later, it was another icon – the Bugatti EB110 GT.

Bringing back a touch of nostalgia, we’ve spotted one that’s heading to auction next month.
On January 26, ‘EB110 GT 068’ will go under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s Arizona auction.
According to research, chassis number 068 is approximately the 51st of 85 examples built to GT specifications.

What’s more, it was completed as a second-series car equipped with a revised cooling system and a modified rear bumper.
The Bugatti EB110 GT is finished in Bugatti Blue paint with a special-order interior featuring two-tone gray leather.
The Bugatti was ordered by a Czech Republic dealer in May 1994 and delivered to its first owner in August the same year.
It remained in their ownership for seven years, during which time it frequently enjoyed the open road while being consistently maintained.
In 2001, it was then sold to its second owner, another Czech enthusiast, who immediately submitted the car to the specialists at Dauer Sportwagen un Nuremberg, Germany.
At this time, the original engine number 090 was replaced by the motor currently installed, engine number 063, a correct GT-specification motor.
The car was also fitted with the revised rear fascia panel it now wears, featuring a centrally-placed Bugatti logo.
The EB110 GT remained in the Czech Republic through 2012, before being sold to a noted Italian collector.
The Bugatti was sold on again in 2018 to an enthusiast based in Denmark before more recently passing to the consignor.
The latest owner soon submitted the car for servicing to B Engineering in Emilia-Romagna, investing over $12,000 in the Bugatti.
Accompanied by an owner’s manual and warranty booklet, and documented with service invoices, this mildly used Bugatti EB110 GT displays 31,930 kilometers on its clocks.
Bugatti EB110 GT price
It’s estimated the Bugatti EB110 GT will sell for between $1,600,000 and $2,000,000 when it goes to auction next month.
That said, we think there’s every possibility it’ll change hands for much more, considering other examples have fetched in excess of $2,200,000 at auction this year.
Update: Surprisingly, the Bugatti EB110 GT didn’t sell when it went to auction but is still being offered for $1,600,000 asking.
