Bugatti has revealed how it’s honoring the 20th anniversary of the Veyron – and it might not be what you expected.

The Veyron was launched in 2005 and is one of the fastest street-legal production cars ever made.

To keep the car as exclusive as it is impressive, the marque created just 450 examples.

Twenty years on from its launch, the luxury carmaker has revealed plans to celebrate the Veyron.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Veyron

The iconic Veyron has a top speed in excess of 250mph and can hit 0-62mph in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it 2.46 seconds.

The hypercar was a complete game-changer, not just for Bugatti but for the car industry as a whole.

So, it makes sense that the 20th anniversary of the Veyron should be cause for celebration.

The car and its legacy were honored at this year’s Bugatti Festival, which was held this Sunday at Parc des Jésuites in Molsheim.

“The Veyron was a milestone in automotive history, and 20 years later, it remains a symbol of our ambition,” managing director of Bugatti Hendrik Malinowski said

“This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on how the Veyron not only redefined performance and luxury but also shaped the very identity of Bugatti.

“Its legacy continues to inspire every vehicle we create today, and this year’s Bugatti Festival is a celebration of both the Veyron’s extraordinary achievements and the enduring spirit of craftsmanship and passion that drives our brand forward.”

To mark the occasion, the marque unveiled a special edition ‘20 Years of Veyron’ logo.

The new emblem has the number 20 in the French tricolor and the signature of Pierre Veyron.

For now, it seems as though the logo was pretty much exclusively – and prominently – used at the festival, with no updates on whether it might be introduced elsewhere.

Bugatti is completely sold out until 2029

Bugatti opting to launch a new logo to mark the 20th anniversary of the Veyron is a bit of an uncharacteristically low-key move from the carmaker.

We’re sure there are plenty of car lovers out there who had hoped that a special edition vehicle might have been on the cards to honor the Veyron.

However, Bugatti has recently revealed it is completely sold out and busy until 2029

So it seems as though the new logo will have to do.
