The Tesla Model Y Juniper might be one of the hottest EVs on the road right now, but one California owner is ready to say goodbye after just 7,000 miles.

In a recent video, he announced that he was officially parting ways with his Model Y Launch Series, explaining why he was selling it and what he hoped to get instead.

This was no ‘normal’ Model Y either; this Tesla Model Y Juniper was decked out with all the bells and whistles.

But he had a pretty good reason for getting rid of it.

This Tesla Model Y Juniper has been given a full makeover

According to YouTuber DennisCW, this wasn’t just any stock Tesla Model Y.

The Tesla Model Y Juniper has been treated to a full makeover: a red Flexure Shield paint protection film wrap, Unplugged Performance UP-05 wheels finished in satin black, and even a lift kit to give it some off-road flair.

There are tints from OC Tint Solutions on every window, including the windshield, and a roof rack to top it all off.

It’s the kind of setup that turns heads in a grocery store parking lot or on the Vegas strip.

Inside, it’s in perfect condition.

The white interior has held up impressively well, looking almost brand new.

His odometer shows nearly 7,000 miles driven, with about ’80 to 90 percent’ using Full Self-Driving, although he admitted that he barely ever touched the acceleration boost he paid for.

Still, the car has served him faithfully, proving that the Launch Series Model Y is a great mix of performance, practicality, and tech.

But if things were so great, why sell it?

He has a good reason to get rid of it

The YouTuber revealed that he planned to upgrade to a Model Y Performance, and not just any version either.

His dream spec was a black exterior with white interior, a long-coveted color combo.

He said he had big plans for the new Model Y Performance, taking it to track days and Tesla Corsa events.

But before his red Juniper Model Y heads to its new owner (a family member, in fact), it will make its SEMA farewell.

His old car is headed for one last public appearance at the Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) in Las Vegas.

There, it’ll take a bow at the 3W all-weather floor mat booth before it finds a new home.

It’s the perfect send-off for an EV that’s been loved, driven, and customized to perfection.

According to the YouTuber, it’s been a fun journey, but ‘it’s time to start the next one’.

And the next one sounds even more special.
