This car enthusiast got lucky by finding an abandoned Chevy Nova.
Its mileage isn’t bad, and it’s got all of its original parts.
As a 1970 model, it’s from the Nova’s peak muscle car era, making it especially desirable.
And this guy isn’t just going to restore it: he’s going to turn the ‘grandma-mobile’ into a beast.

The Nova is one of Chevrolet’s most beloved models thanks to its classic design and high performance potential.
So when this Californian man heard about an abandoned one in a shipping container, he knew he had to have it.
As seen by the 200 people who showed interest in a 1972 model on eBay, these cars are in high demand.
This particular Nova had been T-boned about 30 years ago, resulting in one mismatched door.
After the accident, it was placed in a shipping container, where it sat for 30 years.
A car left this long could become a home to mice or even a biohazard, but this Chevy was in pretty good condition.
And its new owner has some very special plans for it.
It’ll join a number of Novas that have undergone incredible mods, like Joe Rogan’s heavily modified 1969 model.

The 1970 Chevy Nova is completely original, with everything from its suspension to its tires still stock.
It’s got 118,000 miles on the clock, which isn’t bad for a car that’s over 50 years old.
The Chevy is a solid car: a real, as its new owner puts it, ‘grandma-mobile.’
He’s planning on swapping out the standard 307 V8 it came with for something with a whole lot more power.
The owner is building a 454 big block for the Nova and upgrading its suspension, turning it into a real all-American muscle car.
A big block like this isn’t even the wildest mod a Nova has ever received.
One man fitted his with an actual jet boat engine.
