This man had a front-row view of an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience, just because he happened to be looking out his window seat, and it was so cool, the captain asked him to AirDrop his video of it to him.
A traveler going over the Arctic Circle in a plane spotted something unreal happening outside, while everyone else on board seemed shockingly uninterested
He grabbed his phone and hit record as the scene grew brighter and more intense by the second.
It was so impressive that the captain later asked him to AirDrop the footage straight to the cockpit.

No one else was enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime moment
A passenger on a late-night flight over the Arctic Circle noticed a faint shift outside the window, and as he looked out into the darkness, he saw something he couldn’t believe.
Captioning the video, ‘I can’t believe nobody else on the plane was watching this,’ the passenger, called Steven Donavan, grabbed his phone to film what he saw.

By the time the colors burst into full motion, the reveal became clear; he had been filming the Northern Lights from his window seat while the rest of the cabin missed the entire show.
It was like the universe was putting on a personal light show for him.
An AirDrop request for the Northern Lights
When the plane landed, the captain approached him and asked for an AirDrop of the footage so he could keep the exact moment the sky came alive around them.
Donavan shared it instantly and later posted the clip online, where viewers praised how perfectly he captured the Northern Lights unfolding.
“Dude, that’s epic, you got to see it from the sky,” one commenter wrote.
Steven said it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment that somehow only he ended up seeing, and he is one lucky guy.
We completely agree.
