Car expert gave an inside look at remarkably small Telo MT-1 EV truck that promises to shake up the US market

This car expert gave an inside look at a remarkably small Telo MT-1, the EV truck that’s set to shake up the US market.

TikToker Forrest Jones took a closer look at the truck, which comes from American start-up Telo.

If there are two things you need to know about the MT-1, it’s that it is small and it is cheap.

But what else would Jones learn about the truck when he took a closer look at it?

Taking a closer look at the Telo MT-1

Forrest Jones, host of the forrestsautoreviews TikTok channel, took a closer look at the EV truck that had been generating a lot of buzz in recent months.

At first, he was struck by the truck’s small size.

“So it’s really small, and it even has a five-foot bed, on something the same size as a Mini Cooper,” he said.

“On top of [it], I can fold down a midgate to give me an eight-foot bed.

“If I push this little black button right here, that gives me access to the gear tunnel… it comes standard with a Tesla plug, it can tow 6,600lbs, and oh yeah – it makes 500hp.”

That all sounds really promising, right?

Well, get this – the truck is also pretty affordable.

With a base price of $41,500, this truck comes with an estimated 260 miles of range.

Upgrades for a long-range battery will cost you $4,000 extra.

Why has this truck gotten so much attention in the press?

So what’s the big deal about this truck that’s been billed as the ‘anti Cybertruck‘?

Well, it’s been getting rave reviews from practically everyone who’s gotten to drive it thus far.

One man described it as ‘the most revolutionary EV truck in decades’.

And it impressed one Jay Leno.

It also put on a fine display of drifting out on a track.

The takeaway from the vehicle is this: bigger is not always better.

Does Tesla need to be worried? We’ll just have to wait and see.
