Skyline GT-R on Bring a Trailer Spec Nür, feature image

This 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R Spec Nür is for sale and it’s expected to fetch an exorbitant amount of money when the gavel falls later this week.

The Skyline is every car collector’s grail, and this particular spec is super rare as Nissan made only 285 units.

Perhaps we should no longer be surprised when we happen upon expensive iterations of the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.

To put it bluntly, the R34 is basically the ‘Fast and Furious Skyline’ – the one that Paul Walker drove in 2Fast 2Furious.

Not that long ago, a new old stock Nismo model in Midnight Purple sold for $662,000.

This is still a world record for a Skyline R34, but the Spec Nür you see here could actually break it.

It is available from Bring a Trailer, and it is already sitting at $450,000.

Style-wise, this Skyline is actually very discreet and subtle.

The exterior is finished in Millennium Jade and inside you’ll find black leather upholstery, power windows and a CD player.

It (almost) looks like any other Skyline, but keen-eyed fans will spot the Nismo intercooler, and Nismo-branded gold calipers

This Skyline is currently registered in Australia and it is being sold without a title with 44,172 km (around 27,000 miles) on the clock.

What’s so special about the Nissan Skyline GT-R Spec Nür?

Nür stands for Nürburgring, the iconic racetrack manufacturers regularly use to flex their cars’ performance figures.

In essence, the Spec Nür is a track-friendly iteration of the R43 with a tweaked engine.

The factory twin-turbo 2.6-liter inline-six engine was fitted with a new ECU, new air intake, new Nismo intercooler and a gold valve cover for extra style points.

As a result, it now puts out 276 hp, giving the car a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 282 km/h (175 mph).
