It’s official: the Chevrolet Corvette has finally come to the UK as a right-hand drive and this Glasgow man became one of the first people in the UK to own a new Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray supercar.
The luxury car enthusiast has always wanted a classic American supercar, but wanted to wait until they were available in the UK in right-hand drive for UK roads.
The models have been extremely popular, with the electric Corvette E-Ray set to hit British dealers later in the summer.
Currently, the Chevrolet supercars are available at dealerships in Manchester and Glasgow.

For a long time now, there have been calls from UK fans of Chevrolet to bring the iconic American Chevy Corvette supercar across the pond and make it a bit more friendly to the British roads.
So when it was announced that Chevrolet would bring three of its iconic supercars to the UK in right-hand drive, it was a cause for celebration.
One of the people who was most enthusiastic about this announcement was luxury car lover Derek Provan, who picked up the keys to his brand new Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray.

Provan picked it up from one of the British Arnold Clark dealerships responsible for bringing the cars to the UK.
Arnold Clark is offering the classic Corvette Stingray, Corvette Z06 and later in the summer, an EV version of the American icon with the Corvette E-Ray.
In an interview with the Glasgow Times, Provan said of his new Corvette: “It’s a real head-turner. I’ve not seen anyone else out on the roads in one yet, I love that it’s different and feels so sophisticated.”

A British Chevy makes sense
Everything about the right-hand drive Chevrolet supercars remain the same in power, drive and aesthetic, the only modification is that Brits can drive them on the left-hand side of the road with the steering wheel on the right.
Currently the British Corvettes are being offered at Arnold Clark dealers across Manchester and Glasgow and the dealer has already reported that the Corvettes are selling like hotcakes.
