The Chevrolet Silverado EV is only a year old, but it’s already a big hit on not only the American EV market, but worldwide because of this groundbreaking feature.
It has already started demolishing industry records and EV owners and producers alike believe this car could begin setting the standard for EV production.
The Chevrolet Silverado EV has the largest battery pack in the market, and it’s not a case of quantity over quality, the huge battery is doing some very heavy lifting.
The truck is so good it has led a commenters to say “this truck makes me proud to be an American”.

What makes the Chevrolet Silverado EV so good?
Even though the Chevrolet Silverado EV only came on the market in 2024, it has already won the hearts and hard-earned cash of EV drivers right across the world.
The electric pickup has been setting industry records already and is notable for having the largest battery pack for EVs on the market.
In a recent YouTube video by Out of Spec Testing, they conducted a road-trip style road test, driving the Chevy EV down to 10 percent battery and seeing how long it would take to recharge back up to a point where they could hit the road again.
‘This truck makes me proud to be an American’
When the road test was conducted, a groundbreaking feature emerged as the reason why this truck was so beloved.
It came down to the EV’s truly mind-boggling charging capacity.
The truly mammoth 800-volt battery charged the battery from 10 percent to 45 percent in just a quarter of an hour, which is spell-binding enough, but its top charging speed was the most impressive.
Throughout the charging session, the charger maintained a charging speed of over 300kW and hit a top charging speed of 361kW.
These kind of statistics are redefining the standard for not only Chevrolet’s EV range, but all EV ranges.
Speaking on this, a commentator on InsideEvs said the truck was so impressive that it made them ‘proud to be an American’.
There’s nothing more American than a good ole’ American Chevy and this EV is backing that up.
