This rare 1990 Shadi 2000 started life as a Chevy truck and now sports an interesting bird beak body kit.

The custom vehicle, which is up for sale on Facebook Marketplace, is as eye-catching as it is rare.

The car has an unusual-looking ‘beak’ fiberglass body that is mounted onto a Chevy truck.

The owner of the car, who lives in Oklahoma City, says it is one of just four survivors in the whole world.

The Shadi 2000 has an unusual beak body kit over a Chevy base

Facebook Marketplace has more than its fair share of unusual vehicles for sale, including this rare 1980s ‘revolutionary’ EV and this street-legal Chevy Camaro golf cart – and a more recent listing has offered this 1990 Shadi 2000 up for sale.

The seller confirmed that the unique-looking vehicle was based on a 1990 Chevy crew cab – and noted that it had done 53,300 miles.

However, it’s the truck’s body kit that’s getting people talking.

It’s in good shape too.

The fiberglass body kit is free from cracks or major dings – it has a couple of scratches and chips to its bright red paintwork but nothing out of the ordinary for a vehicle from the 1990s.

The rare vehicle is one of just seven

The truck is fitted with the Chevrolet’s 350 cubic-inch V8 engine and has been kitted out with a new battery.

The interior is ‘all original and clean, no wear spots on the carpet and no rips or tears’, the seller notes.

According to the seller, the Shadi 2000 is one of just seven ever made.

Of those original seven, the seller reckons only four have survived – two of which are out in the UK, while the other two are in the US.

Interestingly, a bit of digging from the team at The Drive appeared to show this same vehicle had gone up for auction several months back but didn’t sell – so it seems the Shadi might have a bit of an interesting back story.

However, with its price on Facebook Marketplace recently slashed, the Shadi 2000 might find itself a new home in the not-too-distant future.
