This junkyard was home to an absolute relic of car history, a Ford Escape that’s lived through many different eras.
The vehicle had an impressive number of miles racked up on the clock, amounting to over 580,000.
With more than one owner and purpose, the Ford appeared to be a display-worthy time capsule.
And, after one junkyard worker ran a background check, they were left utterly astonished at what they had discovered.

This Ford Escape deserves a movie about its previous life
The Ford Escape first hit the car scene in 2001, with the SUV proving to be a popular choice.
Since its initial release, many generations have been delivered, and it was even redesigned in 2020, bringing new high-tech features to the table.
But, get ready to be surprised by one Escape found by the guys over at Auto Parts City, Inc.

“This Ford Escape deserves its own video because this Ford Escape could probably tell a million stories,” said the creator.
Despite having a black exterior, it turns out that the car was originally a white road runner, and was also used by Uber and Lyft as a taxi vehicle.
“I’m assuming at some point here in Chicago, the Yellow Cab company bought it, and then it was painted yellow, and then, after Yellow Cab had it, whoever the green company is, the green cab company painted it green.
“And then when they retired it, it ended up getting painted this black color,” the worker continued.

After seeing the Ford’s eventful exterior, many car enthusiasts shared their thoughts on the junkyard find.
“Ford should put this in the museum,” said one user.
“That generation of Escapes are tanks besides rust, they just keep going,” commented another.
“It could drive around the circumference of the Earth 28 times with that mileage,” added a third.
But it seems that the magic doesn’t end there.
A Carfax report revealed the full truth about the Ford vehicle
After the junkyard find sparked the car lover’s curiosity, he decided to run a Carfax report to uncover its story.

And much like the ghost of Christmas past, the report showed some shocking surprises.
The car proved to be a 2011 Ford Escape with a hybrid powertrain, with an eventful journey out on the open road.
It was involved in four different accidents after starting life off the production line in Connecticut before making its way through New Hampshire, New York, and eventually ending its life in Chicago.
“Since this thing was always driving, it didn’t have time to rust. This one’s actually really solid,” concluded the worker.
So, despite the almost 600,000 miles on the clock and not looking brand new, it has clearly been well-loved by both drivers and passengers across many different states.
