There’s a new Chinese EV supercar in town called JiYue Robo X and it’s packed with state-of-the-art AI technology.
Not only that, but it’s fast too, able to pull off a 0-60 mph run in less than 1.9 seconds.
According to JiYue Robo X, it’s an ‘AI smart-driving supercar’ that combines autonomous driving and AI in a high-performance vehicle.
The world of EVs is certainly progressing at an incredible pace, but will the Robo X deliver?

New EV supercar with bold claims
If you haven’t heard about JiYue before, it’s because the company doesn’t have an extensive portfolio yet.
What you might have heard about is Baidu, which happens to be its parent company.
Baidu is one of the few companies with a license to operate robotaxis in China officially.
This EV supercar, however, is no robotaxi.
The Robo X was the brainchild of Baidu, which partnered with another company to create an AI-powered all-electric hypercar.
From far away, it looks like any other supercar or hypercar, but inside, it has something that would put most record-breakers to shame.
We’re talking about the quad-motor, liquid-cooled powertrain that lets this EV supercar reach 60mph from a standstill in less than 1.9 seconds.
JiYue Robo X design
This design won the Robo X two awards — the 2024 German Red Dot Design Award and the 2025 German Design Award.
All about the JiYue Robo X
The Robo X also features a whopping 400-mile range on a full charge, which is impressive for a high-performance setup.
But the JiYue Robo X is certainly not the first hypercar to do so.
Direct competitors like the Japanese Aspark Owl SP600 and the Rimac Nevera also have cool tricks up their sleeves.
The Aspark Owl is a record-breaking electric hypercar with a 0-60mph time of a mere 1.69 seconds.
Meanwhile, the fan-favorite Rimac Nevera R can do that in just 1.81 seconds.
Case in point — the sub-2 second club of EV supercars is filling up fast, and most of these aren’t exactly mass-production vehicles — yet.
That will undoubtedly change in the future, and JiYue believes it, too.
The Chinese automaker expects to start deliveries sometime in 2027.
As for us, we’ll have to wait and see how the next generation of EVs will fit into a world full of gas-powered beasts like the Bugatti Tourbillion.
