A dad camping with his family at Yosemite National Park found a heartwarming note from a stranger on his car’s windshield.
A picture of the note made its way onto the subreddit for Yosemite Park, in which the anonymous Good Samaritan laid down a lot of praise for the dad’s parenting skills.
There was also some praise for his driving skills, but that’s not what tugged on the heartstrings.
This note is a nice reminder that a kind word or a good deed goes a long way.

The heartwarming note that someone left for a dad in Yosemite National Park
An anonymous dad took to Reddit to share a photo of a heartwarming note that someone had left on his dashboard while he was camping in Yosemite National Park.
“To the man who left this thoughtful note on my windshield at Lower Pines Campground this weekend, I extend my heartfelt gratitude; your acknowledgment of my efforts to be a good father means a great deal to me,” he wrote.
The note itself was very sweet, and spoke at length about the Redditor’s attributes as a father – while also throwing in a compliment about his driving capabilities.

It read:
“Bro, I camped in the spot behind you last night.
“Let me just say, you are killing it as a dad. First off, I watched your wife guide you in as you backed up your trailer and nailed it on the first try without any yelling.
“Then your kids unloaded from the truck and were mild-mannered and well-behaved. You told stories around the campfire, and I had the pleasure of listening to the sounds of giggles and laughter.
“From one dad to another, you are killing it. Keep it up.”
This was a very sweet note, and people on Reddit were all in agreement on that.
A day where everyone on the internet is in agreement about something – that doesn’t happen very often.
“That would make any dad’s eyes water,” one person commented.

“10/10 letter. The ‘and not yelling part’ gave me a good chuckle,” another user remarked.
“Such an awesome compliment! Even though I don’t have children myself, I like to remind my friends too that they’re doing great & it brings them happy tears,” a third commenter admitted.
A kind word can go a long way.
Cars can often be tearjerkers
If you find yourself dabbing your eyes with a tissue right now, you’re likely not alone.
But to be fair, this isn’t the first time a car story has left people collectively holding back the waterworks.

Plenty of car stories have hit people right in the feels before.
There was the time this Chicago family spent countless hours restoring a 1965 Buick Riviera in what quickly became a family bonding experience.
Plenty of car restorations tug on the heartstrings, too, like this 100-year-old car that hadn’t been driven since 1957.
Or this 2012 Ram 3500.
