The Dodge Viper and the Shelby GT500 are two of the most supercharged muscle cars that money can buy.
So when the two went head-to-head at a set of traffic lights, it was impossible to ignore.
Both pack staggering power under the hood and, luckily for us, the matchup was captured on camera.
Once the light turned green, both cars shot off, sparking the head-to-head battle that you’ll see in the video.
Dodge Viper vs Shelby GT500
Shared online by Woyshnis Media, two blue models are seen pulling up next to each other.
Known as the high-performance older sibling of the Ford Mustang, the Shelby GT500 was brought to life by a supercharged V-8 engine.
The Dodge Viper, powered by a V-10 engine, burst onto the scene in 1991.
Thanks to the huge 8-liter engine, the Viper is often dubbed the most powerful car ever made by Dodge.

How the Viper and GT500 battle played out
The Dodge Viper was supposedly heavily modified, even spitting flames and intensifying the moment.

Once the cars set off and an almighty roar was heard, both machines were looking strong.
However, at the end of the video, one of the cars seemed to just take the lead, and we’ll give you a hint – it’s not what you’d expect.
Despite the Dodge Viper pulling out all the stops, the Shelby seemed to take the lead.
However, as the video comes to an abrupt end, we can’t tell you which car hurtled to the end of the stretch of the road the fastest.
One thing is for sure, though, we wouldn’t want to cross either one of these in our daily driver.
