This driver decided to make a tactical trade-in to try and boost their car collection, so they swapped a 1969 Dodge Dart GTS for a Ferrari.
The Dodge Dart in question had just 2,000 miles before it was waved goodbye, and the condition was seriously impressive.
After the trade-in, one gearhead managed to get his hands on the 1969 Dodge and see what the deal was.
And, once you see the car in all its glory, you’ll won’t be left wondering why the swap took place.

This 1960 Dodge Dart GTS was traded in for a Ferrari, but at what real cost?
Every gearhead loves a car upgrade to try and boost the variety and value of their own collection.
From swapping a sedan for a sports car, to even a gas-powered car, to an EV, there are many opportunities.
However, after seeing this swap, if you’re a ’60s car lover, you may not be all that convinced.
Over on the CARFINDER YouTube channel, the creator loves to discover gems, but this one will blow your mind.
This 2,000-mile 1969 Dodge Dart GTS Big-Block Unicorn was spotted by the creator, and the car was simply stunning.

The car was just one of 488 ever built and was in incredible condition.
“This one looks like it was probably restored, I can’t tell for sure, but it’s awful nice inside and out,” explained the YouTuber as he took a tour around the car.
The odometer in the car had around 2,000 miles on the clock. And thanks to the striking blue color, it certainly caught gearheads’ eyes.
But, here’s the catch – the car was actually traded in for its owner to purchase a Ferrari.
A listing on Classic Cars explained that the car was ‘totally rust-free and also had the original matching number 383/330 HP engine’.
“The engine, transmission, differential, brakes, front and rear suspension have all been rebuilt. The stereo system was upgraded to a newer AM/FM with attachments for MP3 and thumb drive,” explained the listing in detail.

The car is steeped in history too, with the model beginning as a full-sized car before Dodge introduced the Lancer, which was replaced by the iconic Dodge Dart.
1967 then saw the Dodge Dart GTS arrive, which saw the model dominate the car sphere thanks to the sheer power beneath the hood.
Dodge’s reign didn’t stop in the ’60s either
Any muscle car enthusiast will be well versed in Dodge’s successes and the way it paved for the car industry.
But, Dodge’s releases have been going from strength to strength every single year.
For example, Dodge’s new gas muscle car, set to have 550hp, was recently spotted in the wild ahead of the release.
Plus, we bet you didn’t know that the 1997 Dakota truck matched the drag of a Porsche and beat a Lamborghini Countach.
