The Dubai Police has added a new EV to its fleet – and it won’t just be used to fight criminals.
The new EV will help to fight crime, but also help people in the vicinity, too.
The addition comes hot on the heels of Dubai Police’s other flashy fleet announcements.
The force also has a Cybertruck and a Rolls-Royce in tow, too.

Cops all around the world have massively varied fleets of vehicles.
From motorbikes to huge trucks, all kinds of autos are used to capture criminals.
For example, the Miami Police Department used to whip around in Porsche 911s after they were seized from criminals in the 90s.
Plus, police in Florida traded in their patrol cars for a seized Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, too.
But Dubai’s host of police vehicles takes things to a different level.
The force is no stranger to the use of flashy cars on the beat.
For example, Mansory even collaborated with the department on a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
And, we can’t forget the Tesla Cybertruck that joined the fleet last year.
Now, though, the game has been upped and the bar raised once more, as a Lotus Emeya EV has been added to the lineup of crime-fighting cars.
Only, the EV will actually be used as a point of help, too.

Alongside busting crimes, the EV will be a pointer object for both residents of Dubai and tourists as a point of help from the Dubai cops.
“These vehicles not only elevate the image of Dubai Police but also enable officers to engage with residents and tourists by offering information, guidance, and promoting the community role of the force,” said Major General Al Mansouri in a media statement.
The Lotus Emeya EV will be added to the fleet of the Tourist Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation and is another commitment to staying sustainable.

Al Mansouri was additionally briefed on the specifics of the EV too, ‘a fully electric luxury car that can travel up to 600 kilometres on a single charge, reach a top speed of 250 km/h, deliver 603 horsepower, and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds’, explained the statement further.
Take a look at what Lotus had to say for itself, below.
