To celebrate 100 years of the iconic Italian brand, Ducati celebrated by building the most extreme street-legal motorcycle in its entire history, called the Superleggera V4 Centenario.

The Italian motorcycle legend marked its special centenary with a machine that pushes road-legal bike technology to its limits.

The Superleggera V4 Centenario, the new superbike is a limited-edition masterpiece made with carbon fiber, racing technology, and a seriously powerful V4 engine.

Only 500 bikes will be built, making it one of the rarest – and coolest – bikes the brand ever created.

When Ducati creates a Superleggera model, the goal is simple: remove every possible limitation and build the ultimate road-legal performance machine, capable of outpacing even some cars.

The Superleggera V4 Centenario takes that idea further than any before it, using a huge amount of carbon fiber throughout its construction.

The frame and bodywork are all made from lightweight carbon fiber, helping the bike achieve a weight of just 381lbs without fuel.

You can unlock even more performance by fitting the racing kit, which also makes it weigh less.

The motorcycle also introduces several features for a road-legal bike that have never existed before, including carbon-ceramic brake discs and a fork featuring carbon fiber sleeves.

The result is a motorbike that looks like it has driven straight off a racetrack, with the brand’s special Rosso Centenario paintwork created specifically for the 100th birthday celebrations.

The Superleggera V4 Centenario is a carbon-fiber rocket packed with horsepower

Underneath the super lightweight bodywork sits the Italian designer’s new Desmosedici Stradale R 1100 engine, a V4 engine powerhouse.

When it’s on the road, the engine produces 228 horsepower, but add the racing exhaust and track setup, and that figure rises to a staggering 247 horsepower.

The bike has been equipped with premium racing hardware, including carbon fiber wheels, an Öhlins carbon-fiber fork and a special Racing gearbox designed to deliver on the track specifically.

But despite all that race-inspired engineering, the Superleggera V4 Centenario remains road legal, making it one of the most extreme motorcycles ever created for public roads.

With just 500 individually numbered bikes planned, the centenary celebration is going to be one like no other.
