FBI Investigation into the Elvis private jet

The video explores the details of an FBI investigation named Operation Fountain Pen, which involved a scam related to the Elvis private jet, the Lockheed JetStar.

In the video, Jimmy shares his personal experience with the jet, including his attempts to showcase it at Graceland.

Remember, the YouTuber turned the private jet into an RV and took it to McDonald’s.

But he also talks about the underlying criminal activities related to its previous ownership, identifying key figures in the scam, along with a detailed account of the fraudulent financial dealings that led to significant losses for Elvis.

Background of the Elvis private jet

Elvis purchases the Lockheed JetStar in December 1976, which he owned briefly before selling it to the Sheikh of Saudi Arabia.

The jet changed hands several more times, before it was left abandoned for around 40 years.

That’s when Jimmy acquired the jet at auction on what would’ve been Elvis’ 88th birthday on January 8, 2022.

A family owns a hangar filled with vintage aircraft and engines recovered from Elvis’s private jet.

Problems encountered at Graceland

Jimmy recounts two attempts to take the jet to Graceland for publicity, both of which were interrupted by disapproving locals.

These incidents hinted at an underlying issue with the jet’s connection to Elvis.

As mentioned, the video reveals a declassified FBI investigation, Operation Fountain Pen, which traced a conman ring that defrauded Elvis of his private jet, leading to extensive financial loss.

The main individuals involved in the scam included Frederick Pro, Phil Kitner, and several undercover agents, together running a sophisticated financial fraud scheme that targeted Elvis.

Financial fraud

The investigation uncovered that the fraud involved deceptive leaseback agreements, bogus checks, and substantial misrepresentation of the jet’s value, ultimately causing extreme financial hardship for Elvis.

The total fraud was estimated to involve approximately $350,000, but various schemes conducted by Pro and his associated were valued at $25 billion, showcasing the scale of these con artists in the aviation sector.

At the end of the video, Jimmy discuses the eventual arrests made during Operation Fountain Pen, illustrating the far-reaching implications of the fraud and its intricacies.
