The 1000HP Alpine hybrid supercar is being developed by a former Ferrari boss using advanced Le Mans tech.

This new Alpine model will feature a mid-mounted V6 engine combined with electric torque-vectoring motors.

With a total output of 1000HP, the hybrid supercar is expected to debut in 2028.

It marks Alpine’s boldest move yet into the high-performance segment.

Alpine has confirmed that the 1000HP Alpine will be engineered around a lightweight structure of aluminum and carbon fiber.

Most of the development team comes directly from Alpine’s successful Le Mans program. And the same group of engineers is building the V6 engine that will power the rear wheels.

Two electric motors, one for each front wheel, will deliver advanced torque vectoring to sharpen performance.

The layout is aimed at creating a true hybrid supercar that competes with the best in the industry.

CEO Philippe Krief, a former Ferrari boss, has openly compared the project to the SF90. He even suggested that Alpine is setting its sights on Ferrari’s hybrid flagship.

The connection to Ferrari is more than symbolic, as Krief was directly responsible for several major technical projects during his time at Maranello.

With that experience, he brings credibility to Alpine’s ambition to redefine what a hybrid supercar can achieve.

He has emphasized that while the Alpenglow concept inspired some ideas, the 1000HP Alpine will be a distinct road car, not a track-focused prototype.

Alpine’s growing electric lineup is laying the foundation for this supercar.

The A290 hot hatch and A390 fastback introduced features, like three-motor layouts and torque vectoring, while the upcoming electric A110 replacement in 2026 will continue in that direction with in-wheel rear motors.

These models, while more accessible, are directly linked to the 1000HP Alpine in terms of philosophy and innovation.

The entire strategy reflects how Alpine, with Le Mans tech and guidance from a Ferrari boss, is evolving into a full-spectrum performance brand.

As the 2028 launch approaches, the 1000HP Alpine stands as a defining moment for the company.

It represents the intersection of racing heritage, electric innovation, and Ferrari-level ambition.

If Alpine delivers on its promises, the hybrid supercar could become one of the most important European performance cars of the decade.

With Le Mans tech under the hood and a Ferrari boss behind the plan, the stage is set for something game-changing.
