The last thing you expect to find when exploring an abandoned home is a rare and rust-free Ford hiding away inside the garage.
But that is exactly what YouTuber Colin Smith, aka The Bearded Explorer, found when he took a look at a house in the UK, which produced one of the coolest finds on his channel.
The property itself looked like a time capsule, as it had apparently been left undisturbed since the previous owner passed away.
But the classic Ford left to gather dust in the garage was the icing on the cake.

This is what makes the Ford so special.
Upon entering the garage, the YouTuber discovered it was a first-generation Ford Escort.
Compared to cars such as the GT40, these are not the rarest Fords ever made.
But first-generation models are particularly desirable, and they can still fetch decent money.
To find one preserved in this manner is of itself quite a rare sight.
Despite the doubt, there are positive signs for this Esort.
The fact that it has been stored undercover means it has escaped the worst of the British weather.

Plus, because of that, the classic car is also in very good condition.
Closer inspection shows little to no rust on the Ford.
Not every abandoned classic car can claim to be so lucky.
What will be the fate of this gorgeous Escort?
The YouTuber doesn’t confirm if the car has been preserved as a time capsule.
However, it does look to have been left untouched for some time.
The car appeared to be a family heirloom, so naturally, many wondered what would happen to it.
Thanks to its solid condition and years undercover, this Escort has every chance of being restored.
Providing the engine is in good health, it might not take much to get this Ford on the road again.
The odometer said it had done just 9,321 miles, which is possible given how some classics are looked after.
Hopefully, this Ford can escape the garage and find a new owner.
The original Ford Escort was a great car, and this one could be worth more than you think.
